Tonya Patterson-Barge is the founder and principal attorney of Patterson-Barge Law, PLLC. With a reputation for fierce advocacy and compassionate counsel, she represents clients in Business Law, Criminal Defense, and Personal Injury throughout Florida.

Tonya began her legal career at the State Attorney’s Office for Florida’s Fourth Judicial Circuit, where she served for over a decade. Rising to the role of Division Chief of the Special Victims Unit, she led prosecutions in complex and sensitive cases involving domestic violence, child abuse, sexual battery, and homicide. Her extensive courtroom experience, combined with her calm resolve and strategic mindset, earned her a reputation as a formidable litigator and trusted leader.

Now in private practice, Tonya brings that same drive to protecting the rights of her clients. Whether defending the accused, advising small businesses, or advocating for injury victims, she takes a client-centered approach—listening first, strategizing wisely, and acting decisively.

In addition to her law practice, Tonya is an accomplished business strategist and government contracting consultant. She advises startups and established companies on compliance, risk management, and long-term planning. Her dual perspective as both an attorney and an entrepreneur allows her to deliver legal solutions with real-world practicality.

Tonya earned her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law, where she was a Governor’s Scholarship recipient and a two-time Dean’s List honoree. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from the University of North Florida.
